My Leadership Journey

My career began as a solo contributor, working closely with vendors to execute biannual product launches and learning how to deliver results independently. Over time, I was given the opportunity to step into leadership roles — managing both existing teams and building new ones from the ground up to reflect the culture and skill sets I value most. These experiences have taught me far more than just how to manage a department; they’ve helped me grow into a leader who inspires collaboration, supports individual strengths, and drives collective success. I see leadership as an ongoing journey, and I’m excited to continue learning and evolving every step of the way.

MY LEADERSHIP MISSION:
As a leader, I am direct, productive, and trustworthy. I support my followers by giving them opportunities to use their expertise, following through on my word, keeping things moving forward, and bringing a playful energy to our environment.

Sheboygan County Chamber Leadership Program

In 2021-2022, I was in the Sheboygan County Chamber Leadership program. I spent the year getting to know fellow leaders from the area, the county and all it has to offer residents, and a little about myself along the way.

It was a great beginning leadership program that set me up to transition right into the WLDI Chair Academy leadership program.

WLDI Chair Academy

The Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute (WLDI) is designed to prepare future leaders for the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). I am about half way through the program and some of the initial assessments for my time at WLDI can be found below.
